Erin Nichols, MPH, Ph.D.
Epidemiologist, CHAMPS and CDC
CDR Erin Nichols has served as an Epidemiologist with the Global Program for Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Improvement in the International Statistics Program at CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) since 2011. She leads the program’s demonstration project in Homa Bay, Kenya and represents CDC on the WHO Verbal Autopsy Working Group. Prior to moving to NCHS, she served as an EIS Officer with the International Micronutrient Malnutrition Prevention and Control team in Atlanta. CDR Nichols received her MPH and Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas.
