Joanna Boyles, MPH
Joanna Boyles, MPH is Data Manager for the Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance Network (CHAMPS). In this role she works with PHII team members and a cross-disciplinary project team to analyze and code data sent from CHAMPS sites.
She attended college at Emory University where she majored in sociology and global health. She received her Master's in Public Health from Boston University with focus areas in biostatistics and maternal and child health. The double concentration allowed her to explore her first love for the hard sciences and her new love for public health simultaneously, all while helping mothers and young children access basic necessities.
After graduate school, Joanna accepted a research analyst position in population health with Evolent Health. She then took a biostatistics consulting position at PATH and worked on malarial projects in Mozambique and nutrition in India and Ghana before joining CHAMPS as Data Manager.
