Betsy Dewey, MPH
Project Manager, Impact and Engagement
Betsy Dewey is the Project Manager for CHAMPS Impact and Engagement team, where she supports scientific publications, external communications, technical partnerships, and data-to-action efforts.
Prior to joining CHAMPS, Dewey worked at the American Cancer Society (ACS) as a Program Coordinator for the Global Capacity Development & Patient Support Team, where work was centered in East Africa. During her two years at ACS, she supported programmatic efforts in global cancer patient support services such as dissemination of patient & caregiver educational materials, and patient navigation. She also supported the ongoing implementation of SOURCE (Strengthening Organizations for a United Response to the Cancer Epidemic), a competency-based organizational development program for cancer-focused civil society organizations.
Dewey holds a Master of Public Health in Global Health with a concentration in Community Health and Development from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Natural Science from Oklahoma Baptist University. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, where she served in rural Rwanda for 3 years.
