Enrolled Populations Data
The Enrolled Populations dashboard provides information on enrollment and evaluation of deaths in CHAMPS. The number of deaths that were identified by CHAMPS teams that were eligible for enrollment includes stillbirths or death in a child <5 years of age belonging to a family that lived in one of the CHAMPS study areas. If a family consents to participate in CHAMPS, the death can be enrolled for investigation. If the death was very recent (<24 hours earlier or <72 hours earlier if the body was kept refrigerated) and the body is not yet buried, the death is eligible for the MITS procedure. Clicking on the boxes will show the number of deaths in each category, along with the number that ultimately underwent MITS and the number that have had their causes of death determined by a DeCoDe panel review. The graphs below the boxes show the data by site, age group, sex, and month of enrollment. The data can also be filtered by CHAMPS site, sex of the child, age range, location of death, source of death notification, and time period, using the options in the left column.
